The Angle Wright Adjustable Triangle is designed to be accurate to at least 1/10º and can precisely position the work piece at any chosen angle on a radial arm or table saw. It is used by many customers to align their power tools. It has even been used by one customer who added long extensions to the sides to draft accurate full scale boat plans.
When used to position the work piece, it should be clamped to the miter guide of a table saw or to the radial arm saw fence before turning on the saw or making any cuts.
The Angle Wright flanges are 1-1/2" wide and have holes for #10 hardware to mount longer or wider extensions. Two pieces of 220 grit self-stick sandpaper are provided to mount on the flanges to prevent wood from creeping while being cut.
The tool is made of 6063 T6 Aluminum and the 1-1/2" flanged sides have been milled to make them flat and true. The inner scale is marked in 0.2 degree increments and the outer scale is marked in 10 minute intervals. (There are 60 minutes to the degree.) The cursor has a fine red hairline for precise readings. All the tools have been accurately set in the factory, however, the cursor is adjustable should the user wish to re-calibrate the tool. Re-calibration can be done using just a screw driver and an accurate reference square.
